Editing & Consulting

Academic and Professional Editing

I have served as a research assistant and editor for professors at Harvard University and Wellesley College and currently offer my services to writers seeking support with developing their research, editing, and proofreading. I have edited research articles and dissertations from a wide variety of fields as well as journalistic creative writing.

Having worked extensively with international students and spent time living and working abroad in Japan, China, Turkey, Indonesia, and the UK, I am particularly adept at proofreading with different cultural contexts and language backgrounds in mind, and am able to bring out the writer's voice clearly without losing their tone.

"Audrey...great news. I passed my defense! Thank you so much!"

"I am reading your comments and corrections now. I just wanted to say WOW, it is much more powerful. Thank you again."

Academic and Admissions Consulting

I have offered expert academic and admissions consulting services since 2010, having delivered thousands of hours of one-to-one and group lessons to hundreds of students in over 15 countries. I have a proven track record of increasing my students’ scores and helping them achieve admission to the world's most competitive universities, including Stanford, Yale, Columbia, Princeton, Duke, Cornell, and many more. Based on my success with my students, I have been invited to to speak to audiences in Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, Turkey, and the UK on various aspects of the application process.

Having successfully applied for top US and UK institutions and research fellowships myself, I bring an in-depth personal understanding of the admissions process. I greatly enjoy supporting students in students in admissions strategy and creating a personal narrative; moreover, I pride myself on my ability to adapt to my students' working styles and needs.

Here are some things I am really good at:

  • application strategy - undergraduate/graduate admissions, grants and fellowships

  • cover letter and resume editing

  • crafting a compelling personal statement

  • long and short application essays

  • networking emails

  • interview preparation

  • extracurricular and leadership development

  • standardized test prep (ACT, SAT, SAT Subject Tests, TOEFL, IELTS, IGSCE, ISEE, and more)

  • public speaking on these topics and more

I previously worked for Crimson Education as a Senior Tutor, Application Mentor, and Extracurricular and Leadership Consultant for 8 years, where I consistently maintained a 4.9/5 rating based on ratings from hundreds of students in countries ranging from Singapore to Kazakhstan.
