Drawing inspiration from the rich musical heritage of Turkey and neighboring regions, this intimate evening presents contemporary reimaginings of folk melodies, classical forms, and cross-cultural musical encounters. Through a blend of violin, guitar, kopuz, voice, improvisation, and original arrangements, Audrey Wozniak and Doğu Ekin explore the shared histories and evolving sounds of a vast musical landscape stretching across Anatolia and beyond.

"The melodies of peace are ringing out in Didim!
On the first night of the 31st Didim Peace Festival, at 9:00 p.m. at the Didim Amphitheater, music, excitement, and the joy of celebration come together! Musician Doğu Ekin, founder of Gizli Bahçe Akustik Konserleri, will share the stage with İlkay Akkaya, known for her powerful voice and unique interpretations; Eléonore Fourniau, who will perform Anatolian folk songs in her own style; and violin virtuoso Audrey Wozniak. On this special night, where different voices and cultures come together in the same melody, we’ll say, “Different Languages, Same Melody: Peace.”
Let’s meet at the Didim Amphitheater to experience the excitement and joy of the festival’s first night together!"

7 Kırşehir, Türkiye: Neşet Ertaş Kültür ve Müzik Festivali
I was invited to participate as a speaker and performer for the opening of the second annual Neşet Ertaş Music and Culture Festival, organized by the regional governor of Kırşehir in cooperation with Turkish National Television. This event commemorates both one of the most beloved singers of Türkiye as well as the Abdal musical heritage of Kırşehir, which has been recognized as a UNESCO Creative City of Music. In the panel ""Abdal Kültürünün Kökleri ve Müzik Dünyasına Katkıları,"" I spoke about my own experiences with the music of Kırşehir, which has been of strong interest to me for multiple years and which I had the chance to feature on multiple episodes of my musical travel documentary TV series "Turkiye'yi Dinliyorum." I also reflected on approaches to cultural heritage preservation, particularly the importance of emphasizing that this heritage is a living one. One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was closing the event with a performance where I sang and played violin alongside renowned performers of Abdal music.

"On the evening of Friday, July 31, in collaboration with Maison Phebus and Cemiyet, we are hosting a musical evening featuring Audrey Wozniak, Emre Can Erol, and Serkan Yavuz in the Reception Hall of the former Chief Rabbi’s Building—one of Istanbul’s most distinctive historic structures. Sharing the stage for the first time in Turkey, this trio brings their long-standing friendship and deep commitment to Turkish music to Istanbul’s audience. The concert will feature a rich repertoire ranging from select instrumental pieces and songs of Turkish Classical Music to folk songs from various regions of Anatolia. In this special evening, set in a historic hall with an atmosphere steeped in centuries of history, musical modes, melodies, and stories will bring the past and the present together on the same stage."
